Amy Connolly is a highly experienced nurse practitioner and the visionary behind SOesthetic Med Spa. With over 23 years of nursing experience, including extensive backgrounds in ICU, emergency medicine, and plastic surgery, she has dedicated the last 7 years to the aesthetic industry. Her journey as a Nurse Practitioner allowed her to harness her passion for aesthetics, leading her to establish her own med spa where she could empower individuals to enhance their natural beauty.

A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Amy’s proficiency in injectables is complemented by her meticulous understanding of facial anatomy—skills she has honed through collaboration with specialty physicians and leading nurse injectors. Committed to staying abreast of the latest advancements in the aesthetic field, she crafts personalized treatment plans that prioritize natural and youthful results for patients of all ages.

Originally from South Florida, Amy relocated to Asheville, NC as a teenager, and later pursued her nursing degree at Queens University of Charlotte. She furthered her education by earning a master’s degree from Western Carolina University. In her downtime, Amy cherishes traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending quality time with her husband and their two Westies, all while remaining dedicated to helping others feel their best.

Dr. J. Garrett Harper attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia where he served as class president and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha – a medical honor’s society recognizing the top 5% of physicians in the country. It was during medical school that Dr. Harper’s interest in plastic and reconstructive surgery became his passion.

After completing medical school and his residency in general surgery, Dr. Harper was selected to train in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Emory University. As a resident, he was awarded the travel scholarship by the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF) and had the great fortune of being sent to Paris, France to study under internationally-recognized icons in the field. In Paris, Dr. Harper adopted different techniques and approaches to many plastic surgery procedures that he has refined and offers to his patients today.

Dr. Harper has been in the Charlotte area since 2012 and has garnered the reputation as one of the most compassionate and gifted plastic and reconstructive surgeons. His dedication to women battling breast cancer is one of his major passions, as he strives to bring hope and encouragement at a difficult time.
